NEW GLASGOW, N.S. -- Police in Nova Scotia say the remains discovered in an old school in New Glasgow consist of a human skull.

New Glasgow Regional Police say construction workers were demolishing the former Temperance Street School when they came upon the remains.

They say the crew called police at about 4:50 p.m. Wednesday.

Const. Ken MacDonald says major crime investigators have conducted a preliminary examination with the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner's Office.
