An Edmonton man in his 70s has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of his son-in-law.

Edmonton police said they were called to a domestic dispute at a home in the Riverbend neighbourhood around 7:45 p.m. Friday.

When officers arrived, they found the body of Armando Cosmea-Aspillaga, 38, inside the home.

It’s unclear how Cosmea-Aspillaga died. An autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday, police say.

Roberto Robles, 73, was taken into custody and charged with second-degree murder and two counts of possession of an offensive weapon.
