A French bulldog that was apparently nabbed from a British Columbia tattoo parlour has been reunited with its owner.

Ten-month-old Chloe was found by animal service officials wandering a residential neighbourhood in Abbotsford, B.C., on Tuesday. Police confirmed today that the dog was, in fact, the same one that was taken from a downtown Vancouver tattoo parlour days earlier. The dog belongs to the studio’s manager, Shaughnessy Keely.

The apparent dog-napping was caught on video by Fall Tattooing’s surveillance camera and was subsequently posted to Keely's Instagram account.

The video has since received more than 3,000 likes. Police said they received a number of tips via social media as to the identity of the suspect.

Keely said she allowed the female suspect to pet Chloe while inside the tattoo parlour on Friday. The woman is captured on camera carrying the dog in her arms before running out the door and into a car.

Police said Wednesday there was a relationship between the suspect and the owner.

"One of the things we're currently investigating is whether there was some dispute over the ownership of this French bulldog," Sgt. Randy Fincham told reporters during a news conference Wednesday.

Fincham said investigators will speak to the suspects and criminal charges may be laid.
