Forget "Fast and the Furious" or "Need for Speed." A man stopped for speeding on Sunday allegedly hasn't had a licence since "Smokey and the Bandit" was the coolest car movie of the year.
Police near Waterloo, Ont., have seized a man's vehicle after it was clocked going over the speed limit. Police say the man behind the wheel hasn't had a driver's licence since 1977, and that his licence has been suspended 21 times.
The vehicle was recorded going 120 km/h near New Dundee, Ont., where the maximum speed limit between communities is 80.
Police say the man is a 60-year-old from Wilmot Township.
Waterloo Regional Police tweeted about the incident on Monday, adding the hashtag "#CarSeized."
