1. Electoral reform report: An all-parties committee is set to deliver their report on how to reshape the Canadian electoral voting system today. The report is expected to recommend putting the issue of changing the first-past-the-post system to the public in the form of a referendum.

2. Recount begins: A recount of votes for the U.S. presidential election gets underway in Wisconsin today. The push for the recount was led by Green Party leader Jill Stein, who alleges there might have been instances of hacking.

3. Speaking out: A former Canadian Armed Forces member is feeling betrayed after an alleged sexual assault case ended with her superior only being demoted and fined.

4. Clock running out: Since last November, more than 22,000 government-supported Syrian refugees have settled in Canada. Promised financial support for a year from the federal government, thousands of families are now about to be cut off.

5. Historic night: Toronto FC made history on Wednesday night, beating the Montreal Impact to reach the club's first ever MLS Cup final. TFC had rallied from a 3-2 deficit in the first leg to win the second leg of the series 5-2, and 7-5 over the course of the two legs.
