We've got the latest details out of Quebec after an Amber Alert was issued over a missing six-year-old Quebec boy. Plus, in news from abroad, we bring you up to speed about an incident aboard a London tube train.

Plus, CTV News contributor Richard Crouse gives you his weekly lowdown on the films opening in theatres this weekend.

1. Amber Alert: An Amber Alert has been issued for a missing six-year-old Quebec boy, who police say went missing Thursday around 5:35 p.m.

2. Subway incident: London police say they are treating an explosion aboard a subway carriage as a terrorist incident. Photos taken inside the train show a white plastic bucket inside a supermarket shopping bag, with flames inside.

3. North Korea: North Korea fired a missile over northern Japan early Friday, marking its longest-ever flight of a missile and a message of defiance in face of strict UN sanctions.

4. Arnold Chan: Liberal MP Arnold Chan has died at the age of 50 after a battle with cancer. Chan roused the House of Commons in June with a speech about resilience, after admitting he wasn't sure how many more speeches he'd be able to give in the House.

5. Expired points: A retired pilot who was hoping for a free flight after garnering 100,000 Aeroplan points had his hopes dashed, after finding out the points had expired a week earlier.
