1. Quitting: Former Conservative minister Chuck Strahl says he quit the board of the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation after the Liberals tried to use him as "a foil or a cover for what they’re doing."

2. Carol Brady: Florence Henderson, the actress known for her role as the matriarch of TV’s Brady family died Thursday night. The actress was a Boradway star before being cast in the iconic television series revolving around a blended family. She was 82.

3. Summit bound: Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is heading to Madagascar for the la Francophonie summit, where he plans on highlighting gender equality, the fight against climate change, diversity and security. The summit involves representatives from 80 governments and states that are mainly-French speaking nations.

4. Pit bull ban: A court is hearing an argument from the city of Montreal to overturn the stay on a ban against pit bulls in the city. The dogs were originally banned back in October, before a judge stayed the decision.

5. Black Friday: It’s considered one of the busiest shopping days of the year, as shoppers take part in Black Friday. A new study says that the aggressive behaviour, which has become a hallmark of the shopping day, is not only natural, but it’s created by advertisers long before you step foot inside.

And one more thing for "Flashback Friday": On this day in 2007, fans flocked to Toronto to see the Saskatchewan Roughriders take on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
