The Winnipeg Police Service has made an arrest in connection with a months-long shoplifting spree that resulted in the theft of thousands of dollars of merchandise. The incidents spanned from Jan. 23, 2025 to Sept. 11, 2025, and involved nearly 20 thefts at various retail stores around the city, including on Kenaston Boulevard, Portage Avenue, Sterling Lyon Parkway and St. Mary’s Road. According to police almost $10,000 worth of merchandise was stolen throughout these incidents. Officers investigated and arrested a 31-year-old woman on Sept. 18.
