The Winnipeg Police Service is asking for the public’s help to find a Taser that went missing Thursday morning. According to a news release, the Taser, which was holstered at the time, was dislodged and separated from an officer’s service duty belt while on active duty near Dufferin Avenue and Salter Street. Efforts to find the weapon are ongoing, police said. Police say if the Taser is found by a member of the public, it should not be operated as it could result in an injury. Residents should instead call 911 to alert police about the location.
