No time change for Manitoba means time changes for Winnipeg Jets games

The Winnipeg Jets and NHL are changing the start times for 12 home games as the province sticks with daylight time.

Some start times are changing for a dozen Winnipeg Jets regular season home games this year due to the elimination of the biannual time change.

The Manitoba government announced on Thursday the province would make daylight saving time permanent after reviewing public feedback and preferences.

“We heard from Manitobans loud and clear – no more changing the clocks in Manitoba,” Premier Wab Kinew said on Thursday.

In response to the shift, the Jets and the NHL have pushed back the start times for 12 home games by one hour.

The games happen between Nov. 21 and March 13.

The 12 games are:

• Nov. 21 against the Vegas Golden Knights is now at 7 p.m.
• Nov. 23 against the Utah Mammoth is now at 7:30 p.m.
• Nov. 30 against the Chicago Blackhawks is now at 7:30 p.m.
• Dec. 19 against the Dallas Stars is now at 7 p.m.
• Dec. 28 against the San Jose Sharks is now at 7:30 p.m.
• Jan. 2 against the Calgary Flames is now at 7 p.m.

• March 1 against the Seattle Kraken is at 7 p.m.
