The Winnipeg Goldeyes are on the verge of history. The team put up a dominating 14-5 win against the Chicago Dogs in front of the hometown crowd Wednesday, securing their 11th straight victory. The last time the Goldeyes won 11 straight games was back in 2014. The recent success has also helped the club climb up the standings. They currently have a 38-31 record and sit second in the West Division. As well, they are only 2.5 games back from the Kansas City Monarchs, who occupy the top spot in the division. Winnipeg has the chance to set a new franchise record for the most consecutive wins on Thursday as they wrap up their series with the Dogs. The game will again be played in Winnipeg at Blue Cross Park. First pitch will be at 6:30 p.m.
