WestJet is making it easier for Winnipeggers to chase the sun this winter. On Monday, the airline announced it’s introducing two non-stop routes between Winnipeg and a pair of sunny destinations—Belize City and Punta Cana. Both routes will fly weekly, with the Punta Cana flights beginning on Nov. 28, 2026, and the Belize City flights beginning on Dec. 14, 2026. “Winnipeg Airports Authority is excited to see WestJet add even more opportunities for travellers to head somewhere warm this winter,” said Winnipeg Airports Authority president and CEO Nick Hays in a news release. “We are dedicated to offering more flights to places that matter to Manitobans, and we value WestJet’s partnership in bringing more connectivity to YWG.”
