Winnipeg police say the body of a 30-year-old man missing since January has been found. Anatolii Ishchenko was last seen in the 2300 block of Pembina Highway on Jan. 22. Friends told CTV News he visited Victoria Hospital seeking medical treatment for panic attacks but signed a voluntary discharge paper. He left the hospital without seeing a doctor. Police put out a call to the public for helping finding the man, who came to Winnipeg after fleeing the Russia-Ukraine war. Several community searches were also helped to find Ishchenko. On Monday, police confirmed Ishchenko’s body was found over the weekend. A cause of death was not immediately known.
