Two dead in weekend crash involving motorcycle: Manitoba RCMP

Mounties are investigating a motorcycle crash north of Selkirk that killed a man and woman from Winnipeg.

A man and woman from Winnipeg have died following a crash involving their motorcycle and a truck over the weekend.

According to RCMP, officers from the Selkirk detachment were called to a crash Saturday at 1:14 p.m. at the intersection of Provincial Road 320 and the Highway 4 access road in the RM of St. Andrews.

According to Mounties, a large group of motorcycles were travelling north on Provincial Road 320 and were turning west onto the access road to Highway 4. They said one of the motorcycles tried to turn west and was hit by a pickup truck going south.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 65-year-old man, and the passenger, a 65-year-old woman, were both pronounced dead at the scene. A 26-year-old man from the RM of St. Andrews, who was driving the truck, was not injured.

RCMP continues to investigate.
