The Stanley Cup will be coming to Winnipeg next week. After helping claim hockey’s ultimate prize this season with the Carolina Hurricanes, Seth Jarvis plans on bringing the cup back to his hometown. According to the Hurricanes, Jarvis will spend part of his day on Aug 10. at the Tuxedo Community Centre with an event open to the public. The event will start at 1 p.m. and give people a chance to meet Jarvis and get a photo with him and the Stanley Cup. Jarvis grew up in Winnipeg and played for the Tuxedo Lightning, Assiniboine Park Rangers and the Winnipeg Monarchs. He was selected by the Hurricanes in the 2020 NHL Draft 13th overall. This past season he tallied 32 goals and 34 assists in 71 games. During the playoffs, he scored another four goals and seven assists, en route to Carolina beating the Vegas Golden Knights in six games.
