Police have charged a suspect in connection with the fatal stabbing of a Winnipeg man last weekend. Police say they found the 24-year-old suspect Monday near McGregor Street and Bannerman Avenue. Wyatt Darius Prince was arrested without incident and charged with second-degree murder. He was detained in custody. The charge has not been tested in court. The arrest stems from an assault Sunday. Police were called to the 500 block of Waterfront Drive at around 1:45 a.m. for a report of a stabbing. They arrived on scene to find a man who appeared to have been assaulted. Police performed emergency medical care, applying chest seals before paramedics arrived. The man was taken to hospital in critical condition and later died. Police identified the man as Kerry Eastman, 44. He was a member of Sandy Bay First Nation but was living in Winnipeg.
