A search of a home in downtown Winnipeg resulted in five arrests and the seizure of several guns and more than $10,000 worth of drugs. The investigation began around 5:25 a.m. on Thursday when the Winnipeg Police Service received a report of suspicious circumstances at a home in the 400 block of Bannatyne Avenue. Officers went to the scene to check on the well-being of the residents; however, while clearing the home they found several guns, illegal drugs and body armour. This includes: Police arrested five individuals, ranging in age from 44 to 51. They all face several firearm and drug trafficking-related offences. All five suspects were taken into custody.
