Chuck Davidson is stepping down as president and CEO of the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce. The organization said Davidson will be stepping down effective Sept. 4. He has been in the role for 13 years. “Chuck has been a tireless advocate for Manitoba businesses and communities and has played an instrumental role in strengthening the Chamber’s voice and impact across our province,” said Vince Barletta, board chair for the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce, in a news release. “We thank him for his service and wish him every success in the next chapter of his career.” Elisabeth Saftiuk, who has served as the organization’s vice president of policy and government relations for nearly five years, will take over as acting president and CEO beginning on Sept. 8. While in this role, Saftiuk will oversee the organization’s advocacy, events, initiatives and member services, while the board looks for the next permanent president and CEO. The board will provide further updates as the search process moves forward.
