A 32-year-old man is dead after being hit by a car while crossing Henderson Highway over the weekend. Police said the incident happened around 5:20 a.m. on Sunday at the intersection of Henderson Highway and Neil Avenue. Officers allege a 32-year-old man was crossing Henderson when he was hit by a northbound vehicle. The driver immediately called 911, remained at the scene and spoke to police. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital in critical condition where he was later pronounced dead. Anyone with information or dashcam, security or cellphone video from around the time of the crash is asked to call police at 204-986-7085 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477. The investigation continues.
