Manitoba has now surpassed 200 confirmed cases of measles in 2025. According to the province’s database, there are 204 confirmed cases of measles as of Sept. 13, 2025, up six cases from last week. A total of 10 cases have been reported so far in September. The province also reported16 probable cases of measles in 2025. There were no cases reported in Manitoba last year. According to federal data, there have been 4,902 cases of measles across Canada in 2025 as of Sept. 6. New exposure reported at Winnipeg hospital The province also warned of a new measles exposure, this time at a Winnipeg hospital. The exposure happened in the cafeteria at St. Boniface Hospital between noon and 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 12. Those who were in the cafeteria at the time are asked to monitor for symptoms until Oct. 4. Manitobans are advised to check their immunization status and ensure they are up to date with their measles vaccine. More information about measles can be found on the province’s website.
