Hollywood actor Jon Hamm is continuing his tour of Manitoba institutions, this time paying a visit to an iconic Winnipeg restaurant. Rae and Jerry’s Steakhouse—a long-running local restaurant known for its nostalgic décor—posted on social media that the “Mad Men” actor stopped by for a meal on Monday. Rae and Jerry’s owner Adam Rodin said Hamm went to the restaurant’s cocktail lounge where he ordered a steak as well as an Old Fashioned -- Don Draper’s signature drink. “He was so gracious and kind to our staff and other patrons, and took a photo with everyone who asked,” Rodin said in a statement. “It was such an honor and pleasure having him in.” Hamm is in Manitoba to film the television show “American Hostages.” During his time in the province, he’s been spotted at a Winnipeg Jets game, Vera Pizza, and The Flicks Cinema in Stonewall.
