Three people were taken to the hospital early Monday morning following a fire in the city’s Centennial neighbourhood. The blaze broke out at a multi-family home in the 400 block of Bannatyne Avenue around 2:10 a.m., according to the City of Winnipeg. When fire crews arrived at the scene, they found smoke coming from the house. Firefighters then worked to extinguish the flames and had the fire under control by 2:45 a.m. Paramedics took three people to the hospital, all of whom were in stable condition. The city’s emergency social services team also came to the scene to provide support to displaced residents. The fire is under investigation. No damage estimate is currently available.
