The Winnipeg Police Service is asking the public for information regarding a recent residential robbery that left an elderly woman with injuries. The incident took place just before midnight on Monday at a home in the 300 block of Lake Ridge Road. Police allege that four suspects, who were wearing face coverings and were armed with various weapons, forced their way into the home through the back door of the residence. During the 10-minute-long incident, the suspects allegedly searched the home and stole a purse containing personal property and identification. Officers added that one of the suspects went into a bedroom and dragged an elderly woman from her bed onto the floor, causing minor injuries. Investigators then came to the scene and spoke with four elderly residents. Police believe the suspects approached the residence from Lake Ridge Park and are asking anyone with information or video from the area to contact the major crimes unit or Crime Stoppers.
