Now that the rain that fell in southern Manitoba Monday has moved east into Ontario, conditions on Tuesday are dry but cooler. An incoming ridge of high pressure will help to clear out the clouds over southern regions early this afternoon and bring back some sunshine later in the day. Temperatures won’t soar as high as Monday. Still, daytime highs across the south are expected to reach between 8 C and 10 C this afternoon, well above normal for early November. Nevertheless, it will also be a brisk day with strong and gusty north winds. Most central and northern regions will also see sunshine Tuesday afternoon with unseasonably mild highs between 5 C and 8 C. Further east, there is a chance that northwestern Ontario will get clipped by showers or drizzle Tuesday on the tail end of heavier precipitation moving eastward. Pleasant conditions await the rest of the week in Winnipeg, with mostly mild highs and lows and a mix of sun and cloud.
