It’s been a good run into late November, but you have likely noticed temperatures are getting a little colder, as to be expected. However, temperatures are still above seasonal on Tuesday across Manitoba but are now closer to normal for this time of year, especially in the south. Daytime highs in Winnipeg and across southern Manitoba will remain just below freezing Tuesday afternoon. The city will be cloudy with a slight chance of snow in gusting north winds. Regions closest to the international border are being grazed with light snow on the northern edge of a precipitation shield bringing snow and rain to the Dakotas and Minnesota. Snow from the same low pressure system will also clip the southernmost areas of northwestern Ontario Tuesday. Northern Manitoba will also be cloudy Tuesday afternoon, with light snow across the northeast and in Lynn Lake and Brochet in the northwest. With the exception of areas furthest north, daytime highs will reach -5 C or -6 C in most regions. Churchill, on the other hand, will see temperatures fall to around -10 C throughout the afternoon. As the low south of the province continues to move east, there is a low to moderate chance of snow across southeastern Manitoba Tuesday night. The chance of snow in Winnipeg is on the lower side but can’t be ruled out. High pressure will build in the wake of this system, which will bring some sunshine back to southern regions Wednesday, but also colder temperatures. Expect gradually colder daytime highs for the rest of this week, before a steeper drop-off in temperatures starting Saturday night.
