Four people are facing charges after a traffic stop in northern Manitoba turned up drugs, cash, and weapons. Norway House RCMP say they got several reports on Sept. 25 of suspicious activity by a number of people in a black pickup truck. Officers found the vehicle and carried out a traffic stop. The driver, a 37-year-old man from Winnipeg, was found to have a suspended licence and there was open liquor inside the vehicle, police say. Mounties searched the vehicle and found about 400 grams of cocaine, a large amount of Canadian currency, several knives, and other drug paraphernalia. The driver and three passengers, two men and a woman, were arrested. All four are from Winnipeg and face a slew of drug and weapons-related charges. They were remanded into custody. An investigation is ongoing. None of the allegations have been tested in court.
