There are just a few weeks left in the regular season for the Winnipeg High School Football League. Week five got underway on Tuesday with Brandon’s Vincent Massey visiting Kildonan East. Brandon put on a dominating performance with a 35-0 win. That was followed by six more games on Wednesday. Winnipeg’s Vincent Massey also had their offence drive up the score, beating Dakota 49-0, while Windsor Park also blanked Grant Park 19-0. Steinbach and Murdoch both secured lopsided victories – Steinbach winning 47-6 over River East and Murdoch beating Sturgeon 30-6. The last two games were close contests, with John Taylor beating Crocus 27-15, while St. Paul’s got the upper hand on Oak Park 37-22. The week continues with varsity action on Thursday and Friday – seven games on Thursday and another eight hitting the field Friday.
