The City of Windsor is taking the next step in its plan to boost housing supply. Unveiling details of the next major development, under its housing solutions strategy. The $300-million investment by developer Shmuel Farhi would see 387 new residential units built in the downtown area. “You’re going to have a building that you’re standing in Detroit, look forward into Windsor and be proud. It’s going to be 28 storey gorgeous building that you see in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal and New York City,” says Farhi. There are two separate projects. The first one on Caron Avenue, includes three mid-rise buildings, 200 units, ground-floor commercial space, and onsite parking. A second development, on Riverside Drive West at Janette features a 28-storey residential tower with 187 units, including four penthouses and integrated commercial space.
