Windsor police have released a photo of an SUV believed to be involved in this week’s fatal pedestrian collision in an ongoing effort to identify the driver. As previously reported by CTV News, on April 15 at approximately 10 p.m., a 65-year-old woman was crossing the street in the 1600-block of Tecumseh Street East when she was struck by a vehicle travelling eastbound. Police say the force of the impact caused her to be thrown into the opposite lane, where she was then struck by a second vehicle. The driver of the first vehicle remained at the scene. However, the second driver failed to remain and has not been identified. Members of the Major Crimes Unit have identified the vehicle involved as a dark-coloured SUV with a rear window spoiler or wing. As a result, Windsor police have released a new image of the second vehicle in the hopes someone can identify the second driver. Police are urging the driver to come forward and speak with investigators.
