Windsor man wins $100,000 with Encore on Lotto 6/49 draw

Scott Ludschuweit of Windsor has won $100,000 from Encore on a Lotto 6/49 ticket.

The engineer said he has been playing the lottery for decades and successfully matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in the Feb. 7 draw.

Ludschuweit’s wife was the one to tell him the good news.

“She keeps my tickets safe for me,” he said.

“During her lunch break at work, she checked my ticket using the OLG app. She called me right away to tell me I won $100,000! I didn’t believe her at first and thought she was kidding around, until she sent me a screenshot of the winner screen. That’s when it became real!”

He said it feels good to win and the money will go towards paying bills, renovating the kitchen, and investing for the future.

The winning ticket was bought at Canadian Tire Gas+ on Tecumseh Road East in Windsor.
