Windsor Fire and Rescue will be able to purchase new specialized fire hoses thanks to a grant from Firehouse Subs. When fighting structure fires, the hoses are subjected to intense heat, heavy abrasion, and significant operational stress as they are dragged through hazardous environments. Officials say reliability of the hoses and ongoing replacement is essential to the effectiveness of firefighting and public safety. “We are extremely grateful to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation for this generous investment in public safety,” said Deputy Chief Daemon Hart, Windsor Fire and Rescue Services. “This funding will directly support our firefighters in their mission to serve and protect the community of Windsor. Grants like this make a meaningful difference by ensuring our teams have the tools they need when seconds matter.” The $39,710.80 grant comes from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation.
