‘The Big Party’ returns, in support of mental health and addictions programs at Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare (HDGH). The charitable event returns to the Ciociaro Club of Windsor on Friday. Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare Foundation’s signature annual fundraising gala has been held annually for over 20 years. In addition, this year’s table challenge will support the construction of a new outdoor playground for children receiving care through the intensive treatment services program at HDGH’s regional children’s centre. Heather Parise is the senior development officer at Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare. Parise is grateful for the ongoing generosity from the community but notes that there is another important issue at hand with this upcoming date. “Last year, we raised over $135,000 and we would love to surpass that this year,” said Parise. “What we’re hoping for Friday night is to not only raise funds for mental health, but to just get people talking about mental health and to help reduce the stigma that’s unfortunately still associated with mental illness.” Tickets are available to purchase online for $150 each, with tables of 10 available for $1400. All of the money raised at this event will stay local and benefit HDGH programs serving the Windsor-Essex community.
