The Windsor Spitfires win 3-2 against the North Bay Battalion on Wednesday. Shawn Costello opened the scoring for Windsor two minutes into the first period. Andrew Robinson extended the lead for the Spitfires with a goal in the 17-minute mark, giving Windsor a 2-0 lead heading into the second period. The Battalion Evgeny Dubrovtsev scored a short-handed goal for North Bay in the second period. Bogdan Yakushevsky scored the winning goal for the Spitfires. Adrian Manzo scored for North Bay in the third period, but the team could not complete the comeback. The Spitfires will play their next game against the Guelph Storm on Oct. 2.
