Windsor police have charged a second man with first-degree murder related to a homicide investigation into the death of a 44-year-old man. The man was found unresponsive in the parking lot of Windsor Regional Hospital’s Metropolitan Campus on Feb. 19. Police say despite lifesaving efforts, the victim was pronounced dead. The following day, Brandon Gerald Leigh, 31, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. Through investigation, members of the Windsor Police Major Crimes Unit have since identified a second suspect. On Feb. 24 around 9 p.m., members of the Windsor Police Problem-Oriented Policing Unit arrested Robert Joseph Labrecque, 25, in the 500 block of Windsor Avenue on outstanding warrants for breaching his probation. While in custody, Labrecque was also charged with first-degree murder. Investigators have determined that the suspects and the victim were known to one another, and the incident is believed to be isolated. The investigation remains ongoing.
