Essex County OPP are informing the public of a heavy police presence near County Road 42 and Lakeshore Road 113 outside of Belle River. On Wednesday at 12:04 p. m., OPP posted on social media asking members of the public to avoid the area at this time. Residents in the immediate area are asked to stay indoors and keep doors and windows locked, while the investigation continues. Police say further updates are expected later.
