Township of Pelee voters have elected David DeLellis as the island’s new mayor, replacing Cathy Miller, who did not run, according to unofficial election results. On Monday, DeLellis fended off challenger Jaak Purres with a vote count of 213 to 89. The mayor’s race was left wide open following Miller’s announcement she would not seek re-election. More to come.
