The region’s only Health and Wellness Expo designed specifically for newcomers was held Wednesday at the Ciociaro Club. It’s the 21st time Multicultural Council of Windsor Essex (MCC) has held the event. It’s a chance for newcomers to take charge of their health. Over 1,000 newcomers attended today’s event connecting directly with local health and community services. Participants had the chance to ask questions gather information and learn about programs from over 50 service provider vendors. Daniel Beliciu is the director of programs and development at the MCC. “So, it’s critical, it’s so important that we connect as a community, share what we have to offer in this region,” said Beliciu. “But the same day everyone’s here to help, right? So, especially here at the MCC, that’s what we want to do all of our staff, every single day. They wake up and that’s what they want to do is help someone.”
