Kids invited to have a freezie with a firefighter

All kids are invited to partake in the LaSalle Fire Service’s Freezie with a Firefighter event next month.

On June 6, on the PA Day for kids, you are invited from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to fire headquarters and learn all about safety and get a fire hall tour.

“Summer is a fun season, but it’s important to ensure you and your family are safe while taking in all that the warm months have to offer,” said Fire Chief Ed Thiessen.

“Come on by, have a treat, and let’s talk fire safety.”

Firefighters will educate on summer fire safety, barbeque safety, home fire escape planning, water and pool safety, smoke and carbon monoxide, and more.
