A Leamington man is celebrating winning $100,000. Surat Kaewmahawong matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order in the Oct. 8, Lotto 6/49 draw to win $100,000. The 51-year-old said he plays Lotto Max and Lotto 6/49 weekly, always adding Encore to his tickets. “I found out I won while at home,” he said while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect his winnings. “I was so happy that I started jumping. This is an amazing feeling.” Surat shared the news with his close family members, and said everyone was thrilled for him. “My kids were so shocked, they couldn’t believe it,” he said. Surat plans to pay some bills and save for his son’s education. “I’m filled with joy and gratitude,” he said. “I feel like the happiest man ever!” The winning ticket was purchased at 7-Eleven on Erie Street South in Leamington.
