Fatal house fire being investigated in Leamington

Essex County OPP are investigating a fatal fire in Leamington.

Shortly after 7:15 a.m. on Sunday, officers and members of the Leamington Fire Department responded to a residential fire on Seacliff Drive West .

According to police, one person was found in the home and was pronounced deceased.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been confirmed.

There are no concerns for public safety at this time, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation by the OPP Crime Unit, with assistance from the Office of the Fire Marshal.
