Windsor-Essex is bracing for several days of bitter cold and intermittent flurries as Arctic air settles over the region, bringing harsh wind chills, blowing snow and the risk of snow squalls.

There is a cold warning in effect with wind chill values moderate through the day, although are expected to remain near minus 20.

Wind chill values of minus 25 to minus 30 may return tonight into Wednesday morning.
