A 24-year-old man has been charged in connection with a Windsor sexual assault. On April 8 just after 7 a.m., police were called to Wyandotte Street East and Crawford Avenue with a report of a woman in distress that was pushed out of a vehicle. The woman connected with a man on social media and were meeting in person, officers said. After they got some drinks at a bar, the Windsor Police Service said the man drove the woman to a home in east Windsor, where the woman was allegedly sexually assaulted. When driving the victim home, the man reportedly forcibly removed the victim from his vehicle and drove away. The 24-year-old man was found and arrested in the 1700 block of Central Avenue. He is facing sexual assault and assault charges, in addition to driving charges.
