$1-million Riverside Drive house fire deemed suspicious

A Riverside Drive home has sustained $1 million in damages after a suspicious fire.

Windsor police have launched an arson investigation after a fire was deemed suspicious at a home in east Riverside.

Just after 12:30 p.m. on Friday, officers responded to an active fire at a house in the 11000 block of Riverside Drive East.

Police closed the section of the road between Clover Street and Greenpark Boulevard for several hours to ensure public safety and allow Windsor firefighters to put out the blaze.

While no one was injured in the incident, the structure sustained an estimated $1 million in damage.
