What do apples and grapes have in common?

They both produce fruit that matures late in the season. And you can plant them in the fall too!

Apples are the great Canadian fruit because they grow virtually in every growing region of the country [except tundra, but that is hardly a 'growing' region now is it?]

And you would be surprised how far north you can plant grapes and get a harvest. Friends of mine from Regina tell me that they grow grapes and can -with some special care - get a nice crop from them each year.
