Mounties on Vancouver Island are trying to identify a man who allegedly intercepted a delivery and made off with the packages earlier this week. The packages were being delivered to a home on Blue Grouse Plateau in Langford at 11:34 a.m. Monday, according to the West Shore RCMP. “The incident, which was captured on home surveillance, depicts a male suspect approaching the delivery courier, fraudulently presenting as a resident of the home and collecting the packages from the courier,” a statement from the detachment said. “After the courier leaves, the male suspect walks away with the packages and gets into the passenger side of a vehicle.” Police provided an image of the man, along with an appeal for help identifying him. The RCMP also said the incident is being discussed on social media and urged people to contact police instead of posting online if they have information that could assist the investigation. The West Shore RCMP can be reached at 250-474-2264 and anonymous tips can be provided to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
