Police in Saanich, B.C., are asking for the public’s help to identify suspects allegedly involved in the violent robbery of a teenager last month. Around 3:20 p.m. on Dec. 1, a 14-year-old boy was attacked from behind, knocked to the ground and punched in the head “several times” in the 1000 block of McKenzie Avenue, according to a social media post from Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers. An adult male suspect then stole the victim’s phone and fled in an older-model black Mercedes waiting in the area, according to police. The suspect who allegedly attacked the teenager is described as a white man, approximately 30 years old and 5’10” tall. He was wearing a dark jacket and sweatpants at the time. Another suspect who was waiting in the car is described as a female wearing dark clothes. Crime Stoppers urged anyone with information to call the Saanich Police Department or leave an anonymous statement at 1-800-222-8477.
