In hopes of receiving more tips from the public, the Delta Police Department has released the identity of a woman who was found dead in the city last month. Natasha Clifton, a 34-year-old Richmond resident, was found in a field after a fire near the 6400 block of River Road on Aug. 26. Police say her death was suspicious and the circumstances remain an active criminal investigation. “Investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in establishing Ms. Clifton’s movements and interactions in the days leading up to August 26, 2026,” police wrote in a news release Wednesday. “They are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who had contact or communicated with her, or who has information about her activities or associates during that time.” The department extended condolences to Clifton’s friends, family and loved ones.
