One person has died following a multi-vehicle crash on the Pattullo Bridge Sunday morning. Police were called to the east end of the bridge, connecting cities Surrey and New Westminster, just before 8:30 a.m. amid reports of a collision involving a bus and four other vehicles, the Surrey Police Service said in a statement. Despite life-saving measures performed by paramedics, one woman driver died at the scene. “There are injuries to other drivers and passengers involved in the collision, but at this early stage the extent of the injuries is unknown,” the statement said. The cause of the collision is still to be determined. The Pattullo Bridge is currently closed to traffic in both directions, with road closures and traffic diversions expected to continue throughout the day, police said.
