A small earthquake in Washington state Wednesday night could be felt across the border in B.C., according to U.S. Geological Survey reports. The 3.8-magnitude quake struck around 11:35 p.m. in the ocean off Oak Harbor on Whidbey Island, according to the U.S. agency. It registered at a depth of 25.3 kilometres. More than 1,600 people reported feeling the shaking to the USGC, including from Canada. People on Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland reported feeling a weak tremor, including in Greater Victoria, Surrey, Langley and Abbotsford. There have been no reports of damage from the earthquake.
