The Vancouver Police Department is looking for two specific people who may be witnesses in the case of a recent killing in CRAB Park. Police released two brief surveillance videos Friday that they say were recorded in the early hours of Sept. 23. The first shows “a woman wearing a yellow long-sleeve shirt, green pants and burgundy shoes walking near Main and East Cordova streets,” according to a news release from the VPD. The second shows “a man in a black jacket over a red-and-blue shirt with white lettering,” along with black pants and white shoes, police said. He was also carrying a longboard skateboard in the video, which was recorded at the intersection of Columbia and Keefer streets. “Investigators believe these individuals may have information that could assist this ongoing homicide investigation,” said Const. Megan Lui, in the release. “If you are this man or woman, or know who they are, we would ask that you contact VPD immediately.” Around 7 a.m. on Sept. 23, police responded to reports of a “man in medical distress” at CRAB Park. Despite life-saving efforts from first responders at the scene, the man died from his injuries. Police have not said how they believe the man sustained his injuries, but they have described his death as the city’s sixth homicide of 2026. Two days after the killing, police publicly identified the victim as 57-year-old Charles McIntyre, but in their release Friday, they gave the victim’s name as Victor Charles McIntyre. Police asked anyone with information about the incident to contact the VPD Homicide Unit at 604-717-2500.
